Clear Aligners (Invisalign): Straightening teeth with clear, removable aligners. Advantage: Barely noticeable and easy to remove. Disadvantage: May not be suitable for every case. The cost is somewhat higher.
Lingual Braces: Wires placed on the inner surface of the teeth. Advantage: Invisible. Disadvantage: They may affect speech, can irritate the tongue, and are expensive.
Ceramic Braces: Consist of tooth-colored brackets and wires. Advantage: Less noticeable. Disadvantage: They can be fragile and may stain.
Self-Ligating Bracket (Damon) System: Low-friction, self-ligating wires without elastic ties. Advantage: Faster treatment. Disadvantage: More costly.
Jaw Surgery: A surgical procedure performed to correct the structure of the jaw. Advantage: Solves serious problems. Disadvantage: Surgical risks and a recovery period.
Palatal Expanders: An appliance used to widen the upper jaw. Advantage: Solves problems with jaw width (generally in children). Disadvantage: Not suitable for adults.
Dental Veneers: May be an alternative for those who do not want orthodontic treatment at all, or for whom it is not possible. Veneers are placed on the front surface of the teeth. Advantage: Gives very good aesthetic results. Disadvantage: A permanent change, the teeth must be trimmed, and the cost is high.
Tooth Contouring (Reshaping): Reshaping teeth by removing a small amount of enamel. Advantage: A quick solution for minor irregularities. Disadvantage: Only suitable for small corrections.
To determine which of these methods is most suitable for you, it is recommended that you consult an orthodontist or a dentist.
